Privacy Policy

Last updated: 1 June 2026

Upload Cabinet (the "Service") is operated by Bytehaven Pty Ltd (ABN 90 693 928 077, ACN 693 928 077). We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs).

1. What we collect

We collect the minimum data necessary to operate the Service:

  • Files you upload — stored until you delete them or the Service removes them;
  • Bitcoin addresses — any BTC address you provide for payout, and the addresses generated by the platform to receive payments;
  • Technical data — timestamps, file sizes, and connection logs (IP addresses are stored temporarily and not associated with your identity).

We do not collect names, email addresses, phone numbers, physical addresses, or any government identifiers.

2. How we use your information

  • To facilitate file uploads, Bitcoin payments, and payouts;
  • To maintain and improve the Service;
  • To comply with legal obligations (e.g. tax record-keeping).

3. Disclosure

We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties. We may disclose information only:

  • If required by law or a valid legal process (e.g. a court order issued by an Australian court);
  • To our professional advisors (legal, accounting) bound by confidentiality;
  • To prevent fraud or abuse of the Service.

4. Data security

We implement industry-standard technical and organisational measures to protect your data against unauthorised access, loss, or alteration. These measures include encryption in transit, access controls, and regular security reviews of our infrastructure.

5. Data retention

Uploaded files are retained until the uploader removes them or the Service is terminated. Bitcoin transaction records are retained for compliance purposes. Connection logs are retained for no more than 90 days.

6. Access and correction

You may request access to, or correction of, any personal information we hold about you by contacting us via the platform through which you accessed this Service. We will respond to your request within a reasonable timeframe.

7. Cross-border disclosure

Your data may be stored and processed in one or more jurisdictions outside Australia. By using the Service, you consent to your data being stored and processed overseas. We take reasonable steps to ensure overseas recipients comply with obligations equivalent to the Australian Privacy Principles.

8. Changes

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Material changes will be noted on this page.

9. Complaints

If you have a complaint about our handling of your personal information, please contact us via the platform through which you access this Service first. If we cannot resolve your complaint, you may refer it to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC).
